800 BED HEALTH CAMPUS
800-bed Integrated Health Campus is located on one of the city’s main avenues, which connects southwestward to the city center. The project area is adjacent to an airport and a lake to the west.
In addition to the Integrated Health Campus, the urban health campus also includes the Women’s and Children’s Hospital and the Education and Research Hospital. The campus consists of four buildings: the General Hospital Polyclinic Block, the Main Hospital, the Technical Service Unit, and the High-Security Forensic Psychiatry Hospital.
Within the Main Hospital, there are specialty hospitals including Orthopedics/Neurology, Cardiovascular (KVC), and Oncology Branch Hospitals.
The hospital structure, extending in a north-south axis, primarily consists of the polyclinic, general hospital, and technical service units forming the base, with the ward block positioned on top of the general hospital base. The horizontally evolving architectural form is segmented by roads dividing the base into three parts according to programmatic functions. The polyclinic block, with the highest daytime circulation, is positioned at the far end of the hospital, creating a usage hierarchy within the area. The facade character is designed in reference to the horizontal development of the architecture. Vertical elements dividing the horizontal lines and the use of color contribute to achieving a holistic architectural simplicity. This simplicity is also maintained in the material selection and color palette of the interior design, aiming to provide directional, dynamic, and tranquilizing effects within the spaces.
Designed with 2 basement levels and 14 floors, the total closed area of the main hospital is 208,126 m². The total closed usage area planned across the Integrated Health Campus is 241,100 m².
